Finding information for PR is easy and you can do by yourself. I have provided Information on how to navigate the Federal PR pathway! This is nothing complex but still would provide some insight and guide.
Your first step is to check your CRS score. You will need at least one year of Canadian work experience for CEC Express Entry. Use the official CRS calculator:
If your CRS is above 510 or even 500, you may have a strong chance through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). This is estimate based on latest trend and federal quota for CEC. Create an Express Entry profile and remain in the pool.
If you came after +2 and had no experience back home, it is very unlikely to have score above 500 unless you have French proficiency. If your CRS is below 500, try to play with CRS calculator. Let’s say you did enter CLB 7 level in the English Proficiency and 1 year experience inside Canada. Try increasing English proficiency level to CLB 10 and 2 year experience.
Even if it is not boosting your Score, add French language. Even basic French adds points, and strong French skills can add more points. Start by putting some level of CLB for French. Check, increase, check…!!! Work experience and Language ability is the only way to increase CRS score in 1-2 year of period.
After all these, if you think you will be able to get high CRS, start working on your language ability. You have 1 to 2 years to work on your proficiency. Work experience ta time sangai increase hudai janxa. But you will need TEER 0,1,2,3 job in any field for CEC.
The above one is for General CEC. Express entry ma category-based draw pani hunxa. If you look at the Immigration Level Plan announced last year, there are quota allocated for category draws like healthcare occupation, trade occupation and French language proficiency. There are only certain occupation eligible for healthcare and trade occupation. To be eligible, you must have accumulated at least 6 months of full-time, continuous work experience within the past 3 years in a single occupation in Canada or abroad.
For French category draw, you need to have at least CLB 7.
Don’t forget that all these categories pathways also have cut off scores similar to CEC. Simply being in a category (Healthcare, Trades, French) doesn’t guarantee an ITA—you still need a competitive CRS. If you look at 2024 draws, CEC lowest was 507 and maximum was 547, French lowest was 336 and maximum was 478, Healthcare lowest was 422 and maximum was 463.
